Whether you have children who would love playing in the water, or you want to just sit back and watch the waves roll in, a beach house in Galveston or Surfside is the perfect place to relax.

In addition to being relaxing, you will find a family vacation spent in a Surfside or Galveston beach house to be much less expensive than other equally nice vacations.

We're close to Houston

You won’t need much gas. Surfside and Galveston are the closest beaches to Houston.

No flying, and no waiting in long lines at the airport.

Time-wise, Surfside is the closest beach to Houston. Surfside Beach is only 58 miles south of Loop 610 South in Houston, Texas.

The east beach in Galveston is only 50 miles from Houston. But, since most Galveston beach houses are on the west end, a beach house in Surfside is easier and faster to get to than a beach house in Galveston.

Desirable locations

Most of our beach houses are either beachfront or on Beach Drive (the street that parallels the Pedestrian Beach). Galveston, TX has many nice beach houses. But, most of the houses that are available for rental in Galveston are a couple of streets back from the beach.

Since front row Galveston beach houses are more expensive and take longer to get to (from Houston) than equally nice houses at Surfside Beach, we found we preferred Surfside.

Fully equipped kitchens

There's a big difference between getting your snacks and drinks out of your refrigerator versus how much a hotel, motel or condo will charge you.  Plus, if you decide to eat some of your meals in, you can save even more.

Rates

Considering the quality of our houses, we are quite reasonable, and are usually less than Galveston beach houses. We are very reasonable if you can stay with us during the cooler months.

Sharing

All of our houses (except the Beachcomber) have at least two bathrooms. If you're so inclined, you can invite another family to join you.

Reunions or Retreats

The Seven Views, with its three separate living areas, banquet sized kitchen, and huge decks overlooking the Gulf, is perfect for families, church retreats, or other large groups that want a very special location. The Seven Views is located on the Pedestrian Beach and is wheel chair accessible.

Also quite nice are the Sailfish and Starfish. When combined, they have two living areas, six bedrooms, and four baths.
